Troy Lee Designs Flowline and Flowline SE MTB Helmet

Troy Lee Designs has released its first NTA 8776 Certified helmets; the Flowline and Flowline SE.

The two helmets share the same full-wrap in-mold construction, but there are key differences that set them apart.

Troy Lee Designs’ latest mountain bike helmets are the first to be officially recognized as safe for eMTB riders.

As usual, there will be an affordable version, the Flowline for €129.99 and a high-spec version, the Flowline SE for €189.99.

The sizes will largely remain the same: XS/S (53–56 cm), M/L (57–59 cm) and XL/XXL (60–63 cm).

Both the helmets are equipped with MIPS (Multidirectional Impact Protection System). MIPS is engineered to minimize the risk of concussion or neck injury by reducing rotational energy.

The fit system can be customized to your head shape and adjusted in height using the traditional turning wheel mechanism.

The Flowline SE version is equipped with a practical Fidlock magnetic closure for opening and closing the chin strap instead of buckle.

The helmet shell’s plastic components are smooth and the paint is of excellent quality.

Troy Lee promises that both models will provide ideal ventilation, making them ideal helmets for summer conditions.

If you wear glasses, it’s possible that the upper edge of the glasses may come into contact with the bottom of the helmet and produce an unpleasant rattling sound. Test it before buying.
